The social media that doesn’t suck
We started throwing that line around when we came up with the idea for Ethical, but then it actually caught on because it’s true. And here is why:
We don’t suck your data
We don’t sell ads, we don’t sell your profile data, we have no interest in building profiles about you. Our business model has nothing to do with any of that, we just want a place where you can socialize and connect with people.
We don’t suck as a part of the global community
We actually want to make social media a force for good. We will donate 50% of all profits made to charity every year. We also want to be democratic about this, as it shouldn’t just be us making these decisions, so we will put a collection of charities out for a vote to members of our community. The ones we all choose will be the ones we donate to.
We don’t suck joy from your life
We have noticed that social media has become an issue for society. It seems to be creating a bigger divide between people, rather than forming a connection. We believe this might be because the social media algorithms push more and more content at you, so that you stay online longer and view more ads. We don’t sell ads, we just have the small monthly fee, so you can spend as much or as little time on here as you like. We won’t be pushing content at you just to make sure we maximize ad revenue. We just want you to connect with friends, share ideas and be a part of our community.
